Kids and adolescents
We strongly suggest not to bring kids under the age of 8 years to the festival. A rock festival is definitely too much for the little ones – not just because of the noise levels!
According to German law (Personensorgegesetz and Jugendschutzgesetz), parents have to decide whether children and adolescents participate in a festival or not. The German Civil Code (BGB) stipulates that parents are responsible for the care of their minor (under 18) child. Parents have the final say about travelling to, participating in and staying at a festival. In addition, legal rules are in effect about sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. If encountered smoking or drinking, minors can be sent home.
